Intensive Outpatient Program for Addiction in Winchester, Virginia
Located in Winchester, Virginia, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) welcomes women from across Virginia who need intensive clinical support for substance abuse while they begin practicing the skills of recovery with greater independence.
Residential Healing + IOP
Healing with a path toward independence.
Our Residential Healing Program provides women with the safety, structure, and connection needed to begin meaningful recovery. As clients gain stability and confidence, they may transition into our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as part of their continued journey.
This pathway allows women to gradually move from a highly structured environment toward greater independence while remaining connected to clinical care and a recovery community.
We believe recovery is not simply about leaving treatment. It is about learning how to live differently—and having the support to practice those skills along the way.
ASAM Levels of Care: 3.1 Residential → IOP

“The Recovery Connection is amazing!! I couldn't have asked for a better start of my recovery than at TRC. Meridith, Julie, Jackie and Abby are so supportive and caring. They truly made me feel at home and provided me with everything I needed. They helped me understand what recovery was and how to work the program. They all are so very devoted and passionate about what they do. They really take the time to help and get to know you. I am so grateful to have you all in my life and for my experience at The Recovery Connection. Thank you all so much and I continue to look forward to our journey together.”

Community-Based IOP
Continued care. Continued connection. Continued growth.
Our Community-Based Intensive Outpatient Program provides ongoing clinical and recovery support while women continue building their lives in the community.
IOP gives women the opportunity to strengthen the skills they have developed in treatment while navigating work, family, relationships, recovery, and other responsibilities.
We know that recovery does not end when residential treatment ends. Our goal is to help women build the confidence, connections, and recovery capital necessary to sustain the life they are creating.
ASAM Level of Care: 2.1 IOP
This program may be right for women who:
Are ready for greater independence
Need continued structured treatment and accountability
Are transitioning from residential or PHP services
Are balancing recovery with work, family, school, or other responsibilities
Want continued connection to a recovery community
More Than a Program.
A Place to Heal.
At The Recovery Connection, we believe treatment should feel different.
Our programs are built around connection, dignity, compassion, accountability, and hope. We recognize that every woman who walks through our doors brings her own story, strengths, challenges, and dreams.
We don't believe women need to be defined by their substance use disorder.
We believe they can heal.
They can reconnect.
They can discover their voice.
They can build meaningful relationships.
And they can create a life rooted in freedom.
This is recovery. And this is The Recovery Connection.
